Code Not Working, Expired, or Past the 48-Hour Window?

A rejected code is annoying, but it almost always has one of a few causes. Work through them in order before assuming the whole idea is broken.

Reason 1: the code ran out of uses

Every code has a limited number of uses. A popular code on a public wall can be exhausted within hours. If the wall shows 0 uses left, the code is expired — pick another one. Codes with a few uses left are worth trying first.

Reason 2: the code was revoked or expired

Codes can also be revoked or simply go stale. There is no way to check a code's validity before trying it — this site cannot verify codes, and neither can any other sharing page. A failed attempt is the only test, and it costs you nothing but a few seconds.

Reason 3: you are past the 48-hour window

This one is different, because no code can fix it. The redeem entry only exists within 48 hours of joining Muse. If the entry itself is missing from Settings, you are past the window. Trying more codes will not bring it back, and nobody selling a 'fresh' code can change that either.

Reason 4: a typo or stray whitespace

Copy-paste beats typing. If you typed the code by hand, re-copy it from the card and paste it directly — a trailing space or a swapped character is enough to fail. On this wall, clicking a card copies the exact code.

What to do, in order

First, confirm you are inside the 48-hour window and can actually see the redeem entry. Second, copy (do not type) a code that still shows uses left. Third, if it fails, try one more code. Fourth, report the dead code on the wall — three reports hide it automatically, so the next person does not waste a try.

And one safety rule: never hand anyone your password or account access in exchange for a code, and never pay for a code itself. Paid slots on this wall buy visibility for a code on page 1; they are not a sale of the code, and paying does not make a code valid.
